Project Overview
Twenty members of the faculty staff, administration and student body of Stephen F. Austin State University were selected to participate in the Pew Higher Education Roundtable. The Roundtable process is intended to help an institution pose important questions and hold constructive dialogues to enable institutions to see their strengths and obstacles with greater clarity. The Roundtable conversations serve as a forum for both voicing individual thoughts on the challenges facing an institution and for forming a collective understanding of these challenges within the campus community.
At the conclsuion of the Roundtable, President Dan Angel announced that SFA had been selected as one of only 26 institutions of higher education in the country to participate in a three-year transformational leadership
project, the American Council on Education (ACE) Project on Leadership and Institutional Transformation. Nine members of the faculty, staff and administration (with President Angel serving as ex-officio member) were selected to serve as project team.
